From 16th place on the grid, he was one of the absolutely protagonists of this Moto3 Sunday at MotorLand Aragon. Jeremy Alcoba has put together an incredible performance at the end of what was another – now trademark – comeback, as he was in the mix for honours up to the final turn.
It was all but an easy race for the Spanish rider of Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3, who was one of the few to select the hardest tyre option at the rear-end, which was managed perfectly by the #52. He first took advantage of McPhee’s charge to the front group and then he stayed in the back of the leading group, before starting his attack with two laps to go.
In the end, it was a bittersweet sixth, with the podium only a bunch of milliseconds away and the win only four tenths from him. In any case, Jeremy Alcoba has showed he fully belongs to this category.
A Sunday to forget as quick as possible for Gabriel Rodrigo, who had two crashes between warm up and the race. The highside during the opening lap of the #AragonGP at turn 13, in particular, forced him to a visit to the medical center first, and then at the Alcañiz hospital. No problem for the Argentine, who will be at the start of the Alcañiz GP, taking place at the same track in less than five days.
