Jeremy Alcoba has put together a truly remarkable performance at Silverstone. In his very first weekend across the Channel, the very young substitute rider of Gabriel Rodrigo not only managed to finish the opening day in the top-ten, but also went close to gain direct access to Q2 before scoring his first World championship points at his second-ever race with Kömmerling Gresini Moto3.
It was bad a hard-fought race, in which the number 52 even got very close to a top-ten finish. Two points in his tally and some smiles in Gresini Racing’s pit-box while waiting for the return of Rodrigo, which should happen at Misano in three weeks’ time.
Another subpar race for Riccardo Rossi, who cannot finish any higher than 27thwith a big gap at the chequered flag to wrap up a difficult weekend which was made harder by the injury as well as by yesterday’s crash during FP3.
