Le Mans: Rodrigo in the points, Alcoba’s comeback ends with crash

12 Oct 2020

It could have been a whole different Sunday for Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3 branded FPS Automation, who at Le Mans were among the protagonists for the majority of the race with both riders.

Gabriel Rodrigo, after a great start, was able to stay with the leading group for the whole race, showing a great pace. In the final stages, tyre wearing took away that little extra that would have allowed him to be aggressive and fight for the podium. The #2 rider still finished with an eighth place at the end of what surely wasn’t an easy weekend.

A more unfortunate ending awaited Jeremy Alcoba, who put together a great comeback in the first part of the race (from 25th to 9th in only few laps and even nine place recovered at the start) and then was forced to retire with four laps to go after crashing out at turn ten.
